China is one of the most serious torrent flood disaster-affected country in theworld. As the most significant part in mountain torrent disaster management,themountain torrent ditch has became an outstanding issue in disaster prevention andmitigation work, which need to be highly concerned and settled. However, China hasmainly focused on the prediction and group control system. No systematic researchon engineering measures has been carried out. As a consequence, it is necessary toconduct the flood control engineering measures research of mountain torrent ditch.This dissertation takes the mountain torrent ditch case study of Gufang River inHuichang County, makes a depth and applied research on the typical engineeringmeasures of flood control management. The main contents and conclusions of thepaper are as follows:First,This dissertation combines the strategies and excellent practices of floodcontrol worldwide with the actual situation of flood control project. It figures out thatsmall watershed flood control management should focused on point management andprevention. As a result, the flood control management forms a comprehensiveprotection system which gives priority to shore protection engineering, channeldredging and river engineering building.Second,This paper discusses the requirement of flood control. Through the useof rainstorm handbook and flood regulating calculation, this dissertation designsflood. What’s more, water lines are also calculated by using the energy equationmethod.Third,According to the actual situation of the watershed, Gufang River combinestraditional and ecological bank protection method. It is stated that importantwatershed should satisfy once every five years in terms of flood control standard,some once every ten years. However, most of the riverways should allow flood plainand satisfy channel scour. At the same time, measures regarding solid slope and footshould be taken to avoid the riverbed scour.Forth,Using Lizheng Geological and ANSYS software to analysis the stability of Wall type structure. Researches demonstrates that both the analysis softwares couldwell describe the stress and strain of the retaining walls is under seismic action.Final,This paper analyzes the design of water edge and scouring sluice.Moreover, construction stress of scouring sluice is also analyzed.The mountain torrent ditch flood control management is a system engineering.Through taking the flood control engineering measures in Guifang River, the abilityflood control capacity in both sides of the river has been improved effectively. Inaddition, the flood control engineering measures not only protect people’s life andproperty security in this region, but also satisfy people’s demand of river ecosystemand hydrophilic. Therefore, this system engineering will bring good social, economicand ecological benefits.
