Laterite is widely distributed in NanChang, and kinds of engineering meets itinevitably. The dynamic properties of laterite is especially under the vehicle vibrationloads. It is a special engineering soil, the mechanical property is poor, and thedynamic properties is not so ideal. So the paper do the following research about thedynamic properties of NanChang laterite:Dynamic strength research: The paper researches the influence of differentconfining pressure and consolidation ratio on dynamic properties of NanChanglaterite through a series of dynamic triaxial tests. The results show that the dynamicstrength of NanChang laterite increases with the confining pressure increase, butdecreases with the consolidation ratio increase. The relations is close between thedynamic shear strength index and the consolidation conditions, with the increase ofthe consolidation ratio, the dynamic angle of internal friction increases, but thedynamic internal cohesion decreases. By comparing with the results of dynamic andstatic test, the dynamic internal cohesion of NanChang laterite is less than the staticinternal cohesion, the dynamic angle of internal friction is more than the static angleof internal friction.Liquidation research: Using dynamic strength research of test datas. The paperresearches the influence of different confining pressure and consolidation ratio onliquidation properties of NanChang laterite. The results show that the liquefactionstress of NanChang laterite is heighten with the initial shear stress ratio increases. anddecreases with the confining pressure and consolidation ratio increases.Numerical modeling analysis: It is simulating the vibration responding of themodel Railway subgrade of clay under the vehicle vibration loads by the MIDASGTS. By Contrasting the simulation results of the dynamic index and the static index,The results shows that the subgrade deformation of the dynamic index is greater thanthe static index.
