According to the requirement of research on the integration of small solid rocketlaunch vehicle, this article conducts the research on the integration of compositeprimary load-carry structure, designs a kind of the composite primary load-carrystructure, analyzes the mechanical character of the primary load-carry structure andcarries out relatives experiments.Compared the structure concepts which are truss types, membrane types,monocoque types and semi-monocoque types, it is decided that the integrated primaryload-carry structure of small solid rocket launch vehicles is a kind of semi-monocoqueadopting thin skin and enhanced thick skeleton, which is made of carbon-epoxycomposites epoxy resin. This article also compares and analyzes several schemes fromconfiguration, material, layer scheme and connection scheme, then determines the layerscheme of composite made primary load-carry structure and after compare calculationof the strength of the layer with platelet tests, proposes the correction factor forcalculation of laminate stiffness.Based on the requirement of the ability of small solid rocket launch vehicle to theprimary load-carry structure, this article utilizes finite element analysis to analyze staticscharacteristic of the integrated composite primary load-carry structure. Aftercomparison with the results of platelet tests, it is exhibited that the design of integratedprimary load-carry structure satisfied the requirement of the statics characteristic onsmall solid rocket launch vehicles.Based on the requirement of the dynamic environment of small solid rocket launchvehicle to the primary load-carry structure, this article utilizes finite element analysis toanalyze dynamic characteristic of the integrated composite primary load-carry structure.After comparison with the results of platelet tests, it is exhibited that the design ofintegrated primary load-carry structure satisfied the requirement of the dynamiticcharacteristic on small solid rocket launch vehicles.The integrated primary load-carry structure discussed in this article has alreadybeen applied to the research and development on the integration of some small solidrocket launch vehicle. And this article can be a reference for similar composite structuredesign.
