This study aim to explore the positon of CNG in automotice fuels. The study is ongasoline and CNG, which include four parts,①CNG sation and CNG automobiletechnology process,②The station and refitting cost,③Break-even analysis,④Cross-price elasticity of demand of gasoline and CNG. Alternative automobile fuels ofLCA (life cycle assessment) model was used in this study, as well as microeconomictheory. How many net price can affect profit and loss balance of CNG station are analysied. The profit and loss balance are anaysied under these conditions: regardless ofmaintenance cost during CNG car using process, consider maintenance cost duringCNG car using process, price gap between CNG and gasoline. Finaly, demand priceelasticity results were presented to verity and confirm the correctness of the break-evenmodle.Data shows that for conventional CNG sation, at the aunnual sales of5.475milionNm3, as long as to keep0.69yuan net price, the CNG station will unesay lossprofit.With7.55yuan/L of gasoline, the pirce of CNG can rise to about6.5yuan/Nm3;Finally, there is not too much difference between government subsidies of3,000RMBper car and non-government subsidies. The research has contributed to decision-making of investors, it has significanmeaning to improve Chinese energy consumption structure, and it also has engineeringvalue for gas enterprise and consumers.
