In today’s society is in an era of economic globalization, with the continuousdevelopment of social economic level, people’s material needs get great satisfaction, andthus, began to pursue a higher level of spiritual and cultural needs. People no longersatisfied with simple the use function of household products. Contemporary householdproduct design in addition to the coordination function and aesthetic balance, more isthe expression of the culture. It is no longer a kind of handicraft products and simple life,but as a design art phenomenon to inheritance and development. This topic from theperspective of semiotics, the national culture in the modern household product design,puts forward the design of modern social culture and market demand of both practicaland spirit, this paper discusses design case in the specific application of cultural symbolextraction principle and form of expression.
