With the huge development of science and technology, the conversion efficiency of organic solar cells is constantly upgraded and the cost continuously reduces by finding new materials and improving manufacturing. Organic solar cells have a lot of advantages. For example, flexible chemical structure, light weight material, lower cost of manufacturing, easy processing, producing large area solar cells, etc. But organic solar cells can’t be large-scale application, because the conversion efficiency of organic solar cells is less and instability for the present. Best testing system benefits the feature research of organic solar cells, as factors which influence the conversion efficiency and the stability of organic solar cells are determined by the testing system.A complete testing system is elaborated in the thesis. The main research works show as follows:1. Based on the equivalent circuit model, the characteristics of organic solar cells are analyzed. Research on the equivalent circuit models, which include single exponential model and double exponential model. By comparison of two models, the double exponential model is more suitable for describing and simulating the characteristics of organic solar cells.2. On the basis of analyzing the characteristics of organic solar cells, the total solution of organic solar cells testing system is brought up in the thesis. The testing items include irradiance, temperature and output characteristics of under test solar cells. The design of testing system includes hardware design and software design. The organic cell is measured according to four-wire method.3. The hardware section of organic solar cell testing system has four parts, such as solar simulator, testing circuit, data sampling and processing circuits and upper computer. In consideration of the spectrum response of solid organic solar cells, xenon pulsed light source is used in the testing system. The four-wire method is used in the testing circuit, which can eliminate wire resistance and contact resistance. The field effect transistor is used as an electronic load which can behave as a variable resistance, the obtained multiple data can be high accuracy. MCU of the testing system is STC89C52RC, which make data processing automatically, automatic system controlling, communication with upper computer. STC89C52RC is an enhanced 8051 MCU, which contains many features, such as high speed, low power consumption and super anti-interference.4. The software part of testing system involves system control program, light density processing program, temperature processing program, serial communication program and curve fitting program. Software which carries out human-computer interaction is developed. The user can gain imagery data and commodiously operate the testing system.5. The relevant experiment has been done. There are error analysis and measures which reduce errors in conclusion.
