| China, as the world’s fisheries superpower, has the highest aquaculture production in the world and the only country whose aquaculture production is more than fishing production and, in the meantime, breeding production is still in the rapid growing trend. The rapid development of aquaculture industry makes great contributions to the supply of animal protein for human being, which, however, also causes a series of problems such as energy consumption and environmental pollution. Therefore, keeping a balance between the Chinese aquaculture development of economic, social benefits and environmental problems, has received wide attention of the researchers. The theory, development and method of life cycle assessment were introduced in this paper. This article is to establishing evaluation system for Chinese aquaculture on the basis of summarizing and analyzing different areas and comparison of different cases at home and abroad of life cycle assessment method. For aquaculture model in China, constructed the corresponding environmental assessment framework, provide necessary support for the Chinese aquaculture environment evaluation. Finally, the circulating water in the circulating water aquaculture demonstration platform of Shanghai ocean university aquaculture system to evaluate the case for using the above methods, and put forward improvement suggestions. The core of the paper is to stress the importance of life cycle assessment of the necessity and feasibility of the sustainable development of aquaculture in China, put forward constructive suggestions on the farming model by using life cycle assessment, and provide the decision-making department the basis for decisions about the development of the aquaculture industry. The future of life cycle assessment to close database resources timeliness, width and depth needs to be strengthened, so as to provide accurate real-time information to policy makers. Due to limited resources, this research is still not mature enough, and the impact of aquaculture environment evaluation model remains to be perfect and standardized. |
