Research On The Mine Fire Control Using Superhigh-water Material

The spontaneous combustion of coal is a major disaster in coal mine. Continuous supply of oxygen is the necessary condition for spontaneous combustion of coal, plugging the wind and cutting off the oxygen supply to loose coal can prevent spontaneous fire effectivly. In this paper, for the case of the characteristics of coal mine fire and combustion conditions, the study of superhigh-water material for extinguishing coal mine fire were launched firstly, the permeability, plugging wind performance and inhibition performance were investigated systematically.Firstly, the permeability on the coal seam with different species and particle sizes were studied, according to the permeability of superhigh- water material in coal, the best water-cement ratio superhigh- water material permeability for different coal seam can be determined. The research result show that, when the water-cement ratio of superhigh-water material reaches 30:1, permeability in anthracite coal is best, the best water-cement ratio is 26:1 for brown coal, the best water-cement ratio is 28:1 for gas coal and the best water-cement ratio is 28:1 for lean coal. For coal seam with different particle size, when water-cement ratio is 28:1, permeability in the anthracite coal with 5~15 mm size is best, when water-cement ratio is 32:1, permeability in the anthracite coal with 5~10 mm size is best, when water-cement ratio is 26:1, permeability in the anthracite coal with 5~20 mm size is best.Then, the effects regulation of the water-cement ratio, the dosage of materials and material configuration time on the plugging wind performance of superhigh-water material was studied. The results showed that, the strength of post-preparative samples resist wind increased more significantly than blank samples. When water-cement ratio is 22:1 and materials consumption is 250%, plugging wind performance of superhigh- water material is best, the intensity of unit disposing coal is 6.63 MPa, the plugging wind performance got better over time and increases slowly after 3 days.Anthracite coal was choose to as experimental coal sample, the effects regulation of the water-cement ratio and coverage on the inhibition performance of superhigh-water material. The results showed that, superhigh-water material have important roles in reducing heating rate, it also can prevent coal spontaneous combustion. The inhibition performance increased to the maximum and then decreased with the increase of the water-cement ratio; the inhibition performance increased to the maximum and then stable with the increase of the coverage. The best water-cement ratio is 30:1 and the best coverage is 4:1, on this condition, the inhibition performance of superhigh- water material is best, the inhibition rate is 47.87%.So, superhigh-water material is a fine fire-prevention materials.
