Gear was an important driving part in the mechanical transmission and it had many characteristics,such as power range, high transmission efficiency, transmission ratio correctly and long using life, etc. Gear in the work was high-contact, because high stress tooth surface would produce wear, pitting and other damage, especially with serious overload.Besides tooth surface wear would affect the stability of the gear transmission, resulting in serious failure of gear. Remanufacturing failure gear was an economic way to reduce enterprise cost and improve the service life of the product. Combining with the advantages of laser cladding and, it has choosen several kinds of high strength alloy powder under the condition of satisfying the working condition of gear and carried on the feasibility study by adopting reasonable laser cladding process parameters of laser cladding remanufacturing gear. The main research contents are as follows:The equivalent stress in the engaging process of straight gear were numerical simulated by the APDL parametric program of the finite element software-ANSYS,which provided the theoretical basis for the choice of the materials and process parameters for laser cladding by simulation analysis on the prediction of gear failureIt established the finite element model of temperature field of laser cladding on the surface of 45# steel considering of intent heat of phase change,thermophysical property and heat convection of the material changed with the temperature. And it had obtained the changing rules of the laser lading process and determined that the cladding process was a quasi-steady-state temperature field.According to the conditions of gear working,it selected the suitable alloy powder, completed process test of the cladding alloy layer on 45 steel samples,which focus on research of the power and scanning speed of laser cladding.And it determined the scientific and reasonable process parameters and the optimum cladding materials for the gear of laser cladding,and completed a series of studies including the microstructure analyses, wear resistance, and microhardness to further determine that the selected powder could meet the working conditions of the gear.It completed the remanufacturing tests of the gear,designed scanning process of the laser cladding and made use of the way of slippage for cladding to further proves that the repairing process was feasibile,excellent performance of cladding layer can be obtained after claddding on the surface of the teeth and the purpose of gear manufacturing could be achieved.
