Along with the development of the nation industry, remanufacturing technology has attracted more and more attention, which plays an important role in cyclic economy and a significant composition in the national strategic emerging industries. Remanufacturing based on laser cladding is an advanced manufacture technology. The bull gear in coal cutter is a quick-wear part caused by adverse working environment, whose maintenance cost can be decreased by laser cladding. Therefore, it is necessary to research on the bull gear remanufacturing based on laser cladding.Gear repair has always been a difficult problem in the field of engineering machinery, and traditional repair technology is plating and welding. Nowadays, the research on laser cladding and repair of minimum thickness part has been deep, however, laser cladding applied to the gear repair has not been study systematically. Though laser cladding temperature field numerical simulation research has already obtained certain achievement, the research on the simulation combined with corresponding experiments has not been study deeply.This thesis applies the technology of laser cladding to repair the bull gear of the coal cutter. First of all, the general plan is established on the remedial goal of the bull gear and the technology of the laser cladding, and the reason of the failure gear is explored based on ADAMS, and the suitable cladding material powder is selected. And the second, the calculation model of the dilution rate in laser cladding is built based on the rule of Beer-Lambert, which forcasts the dilution rate under different laser parameters and is verified by the experiment of the single path cladding. And then the temperature simulation model in the laser cladding on the bull gear is simulated based on ANSYS, which analyzes the temperature variation regularity affected by the technological parameters, and forcasts the shape of the m olten pool and the heat affected zone, and the simulation method is verified by the measure of the thermal infrared imager. At last, the equipment of the laser cladding is selected by comprision the power-feeding laser cladding equipment and the power-present, and the experiment of the laser parameter optimization is executed by the powerpresent epuipment to establish the technical window of the bull gear repairing by laser cladding. The lack part of the gear is repaired by laser cladding and the rockwell hardness and the abrasive resistance is detected.All in all, the shape and the performance of the bull gear is restored by the remanufacturing technology based on laser cladding, and the requirement is met.
