The southwest karst area which has the center Guizhou plateau is the world’s largest and the most concentrated area in the world. rocky desertification areas in Guizhou comes first all over the country provinces,and also the most serious degree of rocky desertification. Rocky desertification control has been one of the most urgent task of the entire southwestern karst mountainous areas. Since the “9th five-year”, karst rocky desertification management work in southern karst areas has already started, Through experiences of rocky desertification control project,the national development and reform commission in 2004 issued "On further do a good job guidance on rocky desertification comprehensive treatment of southwest mountain region".And the state council in 2008 approved " The outline of rocky desertification in karst region comprehensive treatment planning".Five engineering measures about rocky desertification comprehensive treatment are put forward, namely ecological restoration engineering, construction of basic farmland and water conservancy, rural energy conservation engineering construction project, the karst water resources development and utilization of engineering, ecological migration engineering.The study is based on the national " The 12 th Five Year Plan" science and technology major project, selects two typical Karst landform in Guizhou mountain plateau and Karst plateau Valley to establish demonstration area,Guizhou District in Bijie demonstration zone of Karst plateau mountain creek as the typical representative of light- moderate rocky desertification environment, Guizhou Guanling- Zhenfeng Huajiang demonstration area as a typical representative of the environment of rocky desertification in Karst plateau Valley in the strength.We optimize the decision about the demonstration area desertification control engineering by using "3S" technology and finally to realize the control project in the popularization and application in Guizhou province.(1) Try to take advantage of the radar image of karst rocky desertification information extraction, and to explore the backscatter coefficient of based on radar image changes of the karst rocky desertification area surface coverage, rocky desertification information extraction, combined with optical image, and different grade rocky desertification classification standard of rocky desertification information modification, rocky desertification information extraction is more accurate and effective.(2) The area of rocky desertification in the demonstration has changed greatly and the area of intense rocky desertification has been decreasing.The evolution of rocky desertification is dynamic and sensitive, and There are two ways of the evolution of benign and malignant,Due to rocky desertification is strongly influenced by human activities, desertification control can make the rocky desertification area land quality continuously improved.Therefore, some successful experiences of rocky desertification control in the demonstration area can be extended to Guizhou province and even the whole South China karst rocky desertification area,But in popularization and application, due to different rocky desertification area has its own characteristics and different situation, in the desertification control engineering layout should be combined with the actual situation adjust measures to local conditions of rocky desertification management work.(3) To play Salaxi model area and demonstration effect of Huajiang model area, we explore the suitability of different desertification control engineering in Guizhou province.Combining spatial correlation principle and the theory of the regional differentiation regularity using GIS spatial analysis technology, reference in Guizhou karst natural background, ecological environment and social and economic characteristics, the popularization and application of the integrated desertification control engineering evaluation index, and promotion of desertification control engineering suitability evaluation.The results showed that:The popularization and application of each rock desertification control project in Guizhou province are mainly based on the basic suitability and suitability.The area of ecological restoration project is 9935.68km2, accounting for 5.64% of the land area of Guizhou Province, which is mainly distributed in the West and south of Guizhou province;The most suitable promotion area ofbasic farmland construction and water conservation and conservancy project is 25739.97km2, accounting for 14.61% of the land area of Guizhou Province, mainly in the northeast and central Guizhou;The most suitable promotion area of rural energy construction project is 19696.65km2, accounting for 5.25% of the land area of Guizhou Province, mainly distributed in the west of Guizhou province;The most suitable promotion area of karst water resources development and utilization project is 9256.99km2,accounting for 5.25% of the land area in Guizhou Province, mainly in the western Guizhou Province;The most suitable promotion area of ecological immigrant project is 13337.97km2, accounting for 7.57% of the land area in Guizhou Province, mainly in the northeast and southern Guizhou province.
