Carbon fiber is widely used for national strategic product, including aerospace industries. But general speaking, there is a large gap between China and developed countries with respect to the overall development level of carbon fiber industry. China are very hard to carve out a high demand and quality carbon fiber production line. Some relevant laboratories of the higher education due to the limitation for experimental site and fund, they cannot widely carry out research and innovation of carbon fiber production line. Therefore need a virtual object software to reproduce coagulation bath stretching process of carbon fiber production line, which help operations people and researchers get an insight into the coagulation bath stretching process. Our task is to apply the virtual laboratory technology to coagulation bath stretching process of carbon fiber production line, develop a simulation software system to simulation coagulation bath stretching process.1. Through 3DSMAX and Unity3 D to make 3D scene, which makes the coagulation bath stretching process environment like true world. 3D scene include 3D model, terrain, light and more, these can render speed of guide roller, speed of draft roller, solution concentration of coagulation bath and check valve.2. Through MATLAB to make coagulation bath stretching process mathematical model, which data-drive the 3D model to animate. System use the mathematical model to point the relationship between manipulate variables and performance indicators. In the model, the inputs are speed of guide roller, speed of draft roller, Young’s modulus, plastic viscosity, input of liquid flow, output of liquid flow, the output are drafting ratio, time of plastic deformation process, solution concentration of coagulation bath, parameters of multiplication curve and parameters of Gaussian curve.3. Through Windows Form platform from Visual Studio toolkit to make human-computer interaction modules of simulation software. The human-computer interaction module includes login module, mathematical model module, 3D scene module, input module, data display module, data communication module, data base module, curve display. The human-computer interaction module could change two sets of variables to change drafting ratio, time of plastic deformation process, solution concentration of coagulation bath. Two types of changes can concurrent execution and 3D display. Click the buttons of curve display can display drafting ratio-time curve, Gaussian fitting curve, multiplication fitting curve.The simulation software is tested in this paper, test result show that the simulation software can full experience the process of coagulation bath stretching process in 3D scene. The simulation software can be applied to university’s experiment teaching and get a clearer recognition of real environment. The simulation software can not only reduce the cost of experiment and training, but also reduce risk of experiment.
