| The environment is the basic precondition of survival and development of human being. Environment provides essential resources and conditions for our survival and development. With the development of social and economy, environment issue has been put on the agenda of governments as an important and unavoidable issue. Environment protection, pollution reduction and the trend of ecological deterioration restraint have become imperative.The assessment of environmental impact is the basis of environmental protection. And the environmental risk control is the purpose of environmental protection. This paper studied the assessment of environmental impact and environmental risk control with the example of a gas pipeline construction project of a Company in Hong Kong Horse area. The purpose is to identify the environmental risks sufficiently through environmental impact assessment; establish risk mitigation control measurement to maximum minimize the environmental impact of projects; provide technical support for the legality of construction and environmental protection projects; accumulate the experience of environmental protection for future natural gas pipeline construction. |
