Nowadays with the rapid development of tourism. we pay more attention to how to realize the sustainable development of the scenic areas. How to achieve the nature, the economy and the society’s harmonious development has become an important target that all kinds of scenic areas should plan. Accurate assessment of the current situation of the sustainable in the scenic areas is the basis of planning programs. The study target of this thesis is the main area of Jiaozuo yuntai mountain geopark. I analyse this region’s tourism footprint and ecological bearing capacity from 2009 to 2013 and compare them. Then I get the sustainable development stutas of the scenic areas(ecological surplus/deficit)Then I can predict the ecological surplus/deficit status for the next years. After comparison and analysis,I can obtain the conclusions above:(1)Yun tai mountain 2009-2013’s average annual deficit is 94090.9729hm2 and270.87494m2 per capita. Although we have ecological deficit, the per capital one is less than the average ecological one-6450m2/person.If we minus the ecological footprint, there is still ecological deficit. But if we compare it with the former one,it decreases 7.89%.This suggests that the scenic area can use trade way to compress the ecological impact of human activities.(2)The result of analysis has found that the proportion of the ecological water footprint in the total ecological footprint of the scenic area is the largest one.And the second is the catering and waste ecological footprint.(3)Calculated, scenic ecological surplus is presented as a whole if the upper limit of the number of annual tourists to 944,927 more people, not only to consider ecological footprint tourists ceiling more people to 1,002,644.I can predict through linear and polynomial regression that in the next 2 years, the amount of tourists will reach to5,529,288 or 5,729,684.And the amount of ecological deficit will be 116741.828hm2 and 120950.114hm2.(4)The way to improve the ecological deficit is to control the amount of tourists and to try to divret the internal trade activities. And we can realize them by improving the activities. And we can realize them by improving the operating structure, adhering to the principles of ecologocal priority and reasonable subarea periodic evaluation.
