While it gradually becomes an important part of the dress style in people’s daily life, sportswear design gets towards the direction of fashion and personality in order to conforming people’s demand. On one hand, integration of society culture promotes the relationship among fashion industry, social environment, and art thought much more closely linked, and international politics, economic and popular culture constantly penetrate into the sports dress design. On the other hand, the development of information technology makes international fashion production technology and design philosophy assimilate each other. The diversity of various art trend prompts different kinds of clothing style learn from each other, sport——as a symbol of a stylized thing, is widely used in various types of clothing design, such as professional wear, professional garment and so on. And it forms "movement style" in fashion cloth category, tending to be more scientific, rationalization, fashionable change in design process and production procedure. On the other hand, sportswear design tands to be more morden and fashion in order to fit with more wearing ocassion.Sporty, beauty, and fashion as the guidance of garment development direction, sportswear develops from lacking of formal beauty and only focusing on functionality to constantly absorbing the fashion design elements, focusing on visual aesthetic feeling and paying more attention to diversification and fashionalization. Fashion garment develops from overelaborate complicated and inconvenience to beautiful sporty visual image. That sporty, fashionable, sexy, fashion, unique, aura, influence and expressive force is the new connotation and value of contemporary fashion design, Fashion sportswear design thus presented the following features: athletic and versatile, innovative design, creative freedom, novel styles, rich colors, wearing comfortable, etc.Visual language is a set of norms of conveying meanings or symbol system which is made up by two parts —— visual basic elements and principles of design. As the main contents of design, visual basic elemen is the vector one to express design theme, style and form in fashion design. The auther reveals sporty fashion design language of the profound connotation of the traditional sportswear in typical visual symbols in this paper which is based on the theory of visual language, studys sporty elements in fashion design so that it can give some advise to designers.This paper consists of four chapters, using the progressive analysis method, studying on the design example of sporty dress in International Show and the connotation of traditional sportswear’s visual symbols and fashion design elements, summaring sporty fashion visual design elements, in addition combining with theoretical research to show innovation practice design process and results.Chapter 1, firstly, it summarizes the connotation of sports style fashion by the analysis of the concept of "fashion" and "style", pointing out the requirement and features of the up-to-date fashion sporty garment design. Secendly, it summerizes the generation and design progress of sporty fashion, and explore its direction of development. Finally, this paper analyzes domestic sports fashion style design deficiencies combineing with fashion design case.Taking visual language studying as the main body, chapter 2 discusses its concept, connotation and characteristics, explains what visual language is in fashion design, summarizes the relationship between visual language and sporty fashion design, for paving the way that studying the visual design elements in in sporty fashion design.The third chapter is based on the study of visual language theory, starting from the 6 visual design elements—space, shape, color, texture, pattern, visual style discussed sports style.In the fourth chapter, the research results are applied to the design process, based on the theory of visual design and fashion design.In the end, this paper draw the conclusion under the premise of the overview research background. It summarizes the method of refining sporty elements and the content of visual design elements, emphasises on the significance of elements in fashion sportswear design in order to give some advise to domestic designers on fashion sports wear design. |
