Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMW-PE) fiber is one of three high performance fibers in the world. At present, commercial production using gel spinning methodwhich making the prices too high.The production line is the first time using melt spinning method which can simplify the process to reduce costs. Because the auto control of fiber production requirements higher, then design and develop a centralized control systemwhich can effective manage the fiber productionwith high theoretical and practical value.In this paper, based on thoroughly analyzing the process and equipment of the production line, put forward the designing idea and the overall scheme of the control system. Use the B&R Power Panel as main controller, the PROFIBUS-DP as bus communication network,selection of DANFOSS converter with high performance to adjust motor speed, so as to form the overall structure of the control system.The author designs the hardware circuit and control software of control system. In terms of hardware, the author designs the internal and external circuit in the centralized control cabinet. The author also selects, layouts and installs the electrical componentsinvolved in the circuit. According to the desired functions of software system, using the software development tool Automation Studio to write the program for control system. the software program can achieve the synchronous speed, pressure monitoring, temperature monitoring, system alarm and other functions. The human-machine interface for the control system is designed and configured too, the operation interface is friendliness, simple and easy for the field staff to use.The mathematical model of PMSM is established. The PMSM vector control system is simulated by using MATLAB/SIMULINK tool which can provide the theoretical parameter for the parameter settings for the internal controller of converter.In theprocess of system development, for high power inverter and other equipment to produce seriousinterference on the PROFIBUS-DP bus,the author takes some anti-interference measures, such as Wave proof sleeve, isolators, control system of independent grounding which making the normal and stable operation of the system. Finally through the field test, the control system has perfect function and stable operation, the control effect can meet the requirement of speed error within 5%, control. System can satisfy the requirements.
