Research On Series Of Coat Mannequins With Ease Allowance Based On Woman’s Intermediate Model

Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of Chinese garment industry and consumer demand for clothing fit is higher and higher, now the existing specifications of mannequin are difficult to meet the needs of the apparel design and production. Through the investigation of clothing production enterprise, the expert interview and paper research, understand the present situation of mannequin in China. They are, firstly, using naked mannequin to do coats’ draping designs and check garments are good or not, the effect not good. Secondly, it needs the staff has higher technology,so that makes the work efficiency of fashion design and inspection. Thirdly, At present, it is lack of systematic coat mannequin in our country.To meet the needs of the production of the garment companies and get the series of mannequin with ease allowance, this article on the basis of the woman’s intermediate model,analyzes the distribution of ease and regression relationship of feature circumference. After getting the target model of point cloud data. Through using 3D reverse modeling to get mannequin with different ease allowances. Specific contents are as follows:(1) In the MAYA system, using the bone binding technology to adjust chest according to adjustment amount that can be got through the prediction of chest deformation research conclusion. And making the adjusted model as the mannequin that wears bra. Then Using rapid prototyping 3D printing technology to get the real model.(2) It is known that, the shoulder and chest are supporting parts of the garment, the part above chest that clothes inside coat fit the body, and the part below chest that shape of clothes inside coat follows dress the ease of coat. And the waist of conventional coats have a certain amount of ease,so the part below chest wear can be regarded as not fit body when the body wears coat.Considering the shape of model that wears clothes under the coat, this article uses daily form-fitting dresses, that be got through the investigation of consumers’ wearing habits to choose20 pieces of the chest fit clothes which have different thickness, to analyze ease distribution above bust. Using the method of making the samples by the gray fabric to examine ease distribution.Making samples that have different ease but haven’t any design factors and fit human body size, at the same time, the samples must have good appearance. In order to reduce the error during the process of operation, making three samples of each ease. And using the average of three samples as the basic data for later research.(3) Using the American [TC]2 3D scanner to get point cloud data of samples’ appearance that have different ease. Through format conversion, the achieved the files can be read by MATLABsoftware. From MATLAB software we have got the point cloud data of body having no limbs.Noise of point cloud data can be reduced by Rapidform software. Then point cloud data of 16 feature circumferences are extracted, such as hip, waist, under chest, chest, axillary circumferences, and so on. The point cloud data is stored in layers form. The method of cubic spline interpolation is used to reconstruct the scattered point cloud data. Standard processing of the girth direction and the height direction of the model is done. Finally the point cloud model with different ease allowance is obtained by using above techniques.(4) The fit feature circumference curve of samples with different ease allowance values are achieved by using the method of spline. Analyzing the cor-relational relationship between radius and girth in each human angle, we can get the regression models between radius and girth having different feature circumferences and body angle. By analyzing the cor-relational relationship among girths of characteristics have got regression relationship between chest, waist and hip circumferences and other feature circumferences. In MATLAB software, developing a visual interface, by putting values of bust, waist and hip circumference, we got point cloud model with ease allowance. Then point cloud data model is stored as name *.txt file.(5) Through file format conversion of point cloud data obtained, importing it into the Sketch Up software, using bezier tool to draw the curves and to close them into surfaces which shows the point clouds of feature circumference. And then using the surface lofting tool we finished the modeling from 16 layers to the entity model. Finally coat mannequins with different ease allowance are obtained.
