Study On The Environmental Risk Assessment Of The Performance Of The Tailing Dam

Since entering in twenty-first Century, the rapid development of economy has brought about serious environmental problems. Our government attaches great importance to environmental protection and sustainable development. Mineral resources as a kind of resource related to the national economy and the people’s livelihood,,occupies a very important position in the economic development, the tailing dam is a kind of byproduct produced with mineral exploitation. With the continuous exploitation of mineral resources, the tailing dam become a kind of danger, on the one hand in the face of bad weather or natural disasters, the tailing dam dam-break easily, which cause a huge losses, this is also one of the main disasters caused by mineral exploitation; On the other hand, tailings contain a variety of chemical substances, the long-term storage of it will cause persistent pollution to the soil, water and air. With the concept of sustainable development gradually popular, the relevant research of mineral exploitation gradually increased, the risk management of the tailing dam has become one of the focus of many scholars.In this paper, we will make use of theoretical analysis, literature research, data collection, empirical comparison, and so on, based on the risk management of the tailing dam, discussion the main harm of the tailing dam, and several main methods of risk management, assessment the feasibility and applicability of these methods, and then use the AHP to establish the tailing dam risk management performance evaluation system, and carries on the empirical analysis. Finally, the results show that: The tailing dam risk management should not only pay attention to suit one’s measures to local conditions, but also innovation, to put sustainable development through the whole process of governance, and the tailing dam will turn; In its management performance, it should be found to pay attention to the social benefits, when the government plays a leading role while requiring companies to strengthen environmental awareness and improve the means of management, Keep an eye on the Opinion of the masses in the tailing dam risk management area, Because the residents’ satisfaction is one of the important influencing factors of the management performance.
