Field Portable Seats Design

With the development of urbanization and the improvement of living standard, people began to yearn for the nature and take part in various outdoor activities like camping, picnic, fishing and hiking.Therefore, with the increasing of need for field portable leisure seats, at the same time, the demands for it is also rising.This paper is mainly based on the research analysis and product analysis to innovatively design for field portable leisure seats and make it both portable and comfortable,so that create a comfortable environment for the rest in field.First of all, through the off line market survey found that the existing portable outdoor leisure seats are only inherit the structure and function of traditional folding chair.while the structure is single and lack of new ideas in the modeling. In the use of the material, only the wood material into the metal and polyester fiber. There is no breakthrough in form and function. Thus, with the growing of demand for outdoor chairs, the market has no enough attention, so there is practice significance to research and design the field portable leisure chairs.Secondly, by questionnaire, select the 20～35 age groups as the main target to analyze the user needs and found that people have different demands to field chair when participate different activities. For instance, people have higher requirement on the portability of chair when they are climbing mountain, going for a hiking, however, when people are camping or traveling by car, it is more important for the comfort of the chair, then take this as the breakthrough point of design innovation. Meanwhile, the structure, the shape, the materials and other design elements of existing portable leisure seat are analyzed, and four principle of design, namely, the adaptation and coordination,user friendly and portable, beautiful and innovative, green and economic are summed up.Finally, based on the above analysis and principle, proceed a research and design of field portable leisure chairs. A total of six design of red-blue chair, Rainbow chair, Break Pills, Break board, Box Chair and Cannning Chair。Among them, the Canning Chair with the function of lighting that people require the most in the field, which is a new attempt for multifunctional field chair.
