Currently, with the rapid development of industry, a large number of cooling water need to be used in the circulating cooling system. In the actual operation process, scaling and corrosion problems were often required to be solved. Therefore, this paper is based on this background, combined with the concept of environmental protection simultaneously. In order to avoid the limitations of using a single agent, the compound agent is used. The main content is divided into three parts follows:Part 1. The preparation of corrosion and scale inhibitor for carbon steel.In the experiment, carbon steel was chosen as the metal, and the circulating cooling water was simulated as test water. Respectively, comparing the corrosion inhibition and the scale inhibition by weight loss test and static scale inhibition test. In the end, a corrosion and scale inhibitor for carbon steel was made. The composition of the prepared compound composition is PESA (15mg/L), HEDP (30mg/L), Zn2+(0.3mg/L) and Thiourea (15mg/L). The experiment shows the agent made in this paper is better than others, the scale inhibition and the corrosion inhibition all could exceed 95%.Part 2. The preparation of corrosion and scale inhibitor for copper.In the experiment, copper was chosen as the metal, and the circulating cooling water was simulated as test water. Respectively, comparing the corrosion inhibition and the scale inhibition by weight loss test and static scale inhibition test. In the end, a corrosion and scale inhibitor for copper was made. The composition of the prepared compound composition is BTA·Na(40mg/L), PESA(150mg/L), Zn2+(1.5mg/L) and Thiourea (150mg/L). The experiment shows the corrosion inhibition and the scale inhibition exceeded 92.88% and 96.56%, respectively.Part 3. The research on the performance of corrosion and scale inhibitor.In order to get a better understanding of the agent, this paper uses electrochemical testing methods (Tafel polarization curves and AC impedance method) to study on the corrosion inhibition performance. At the same time, collecting the scale to talk on the scale inhibition performance by XRD and scanning electron microscope after the static scale inhibition test. By comparing with the samples, it is showed that the agent made in this paper is better.
