The tank container is essential in petrochemical industry, corrosion is an important cause of the security risks. Tank bottom corrosion degree is more severe than what on the tank wall, and it is not easy to check and repair with the long running and accelerating the corrosion. When damaged to a certain degree it will cause the medium leakage, and resulting in energy waste, environmental pollution and causing a major accident. Therefore, it is of practical significance to reduce the accident and reduce the cost. Magnetic flux leakage testing is widely used in the field of tank floor inspection with the advantages of fast scanning speed, accurate results and so on.This paper introduces the development status of the magnetic flux leakage testing technology at home and abroad, and it introduces the mechanism and the basic theory of the magnetic flux leakage testing of the tank floor. The finite element analysis method development is established which is at the bottom of the tank defect finite element model, it is learning and researching on the tank bottom irregular defects, and the establishment of tank bottom corrosion defect leakage magnetic detection experiment analysis is established for the results of treatment. It is mainly used for finite element modeling and do the simulation of leakage magnetic field on different defects, than it will analysis the influencing factors of magnetic field leakage signal. The effect of depth, width, air gap, defect shape and position on the leakage magnetic field are studied, and the distribution curve of the leakage magnetic field is obtained. Based on the finite element analysis, the experimental scheme of magnetic flux leakage testing is established. The influence of defect depth and depth of defects on the amplitude of magnetic flux leakage detection is analyzed by experiment method. Analysis of the relationship between defect depth, defect tilt angle and defect magnetic flux leakage detection. The results of the experimental data were imported into the software for data processing and the use of Origin Software generated curve analysis. To realize the quantitative analysis of the defect of the tank bottom plate, and provide reference basis for the defect detection in engineering practice.
