In this paper, large amounts of problems have been researched during the overseas and domestic cementing the gas storage well. To solve these problems, combined with the practices, toughening slurry system, anti-channeling anti-leak low density slurry system and corresponding additives have been developed for gas storage cementing operation. The specialized spacer, GWY-100 L, to improve the displacement efficiency has been developed and the supporting cementing equipment has been optimized. By integrating theses techniques, it was successful to apply in a well cementing and achieved high quality results. More proper additives i.e. fluid loss agent GWF-1S, cement retard GWR-100 L, dispersant GWS-1S, accelerator GWA-1S have been optimized. Toughening materials GWB-2S to increase the slurry stability and GWE-100 S to reduce the Young’s modulus of cement stone have been developed. Through the close packing theory and grain size distribution, gas storage toughening slurry system has been developed. This slurry system has the properties of stable performance, adjustable thickening time, short transition time and low Young’s modulus of cement stone. Due to the low formation fracture pressure, it was necessary to adopt the ultralow density slurry which has the properties of the lower density and more stable performance. Its density ranged from 1.10 to 1.30g/cm3 and temperature ranged 45 to 85℃. This system could better ensure to solve the lose situation during cementing process. The specialized spacer has developed, which has good stability. There was no sediments within 24 hours. The density of this spacer ranged from 1.10 to 2.2g/cm3 and it could be used under the temperature from 45 to 85℃. The displacement efficiency and cementing quality were effectively improved. For optimizing cementing equipment, it improved the safety performance to choose the casing packer and blind ram from Baker Hughes and Anton, the stage collar from Weatherford, the tie-back liner hanger and insert float collar and shoe from Baker Hughes.These technologies were effectively integrated to solve the troublesome situations during the cementing the gas storage well and the results of cementing quality performed well, which made the employers praise.
