| Pipe pieces which material is usually aluminum or copper are mainly used in the refrigeration industry, especially in the use of air conditioning and refrigerator. Welding of pipe pieces usually uses brazing process, so the quality of welding directly affects quality of the final product. Most of the factories are still using the traditional brazing with obviously shortcomings, such as to rely on manual welding, welder dependence, manual torch brazing with high energy consumption, high labor intensity, unstable welding quality and larger artificial factors. High frequency induction brazing with the development of the last twenty years is one of the most common methods of joining metal, which has many advantages, such as local heat, less heat lose, heat quickly, high production efficiency, especially suitable for semi-automatic or automatic operation, stable welding quality, lower cost than the gas brazing and furnace brazing, safety and environmental protection due to no noise, fire and harmful gases in the process of work.According to the technology of high frequency induction brazing, a rotary multi station induction brazing equipment is designed, which integrates the tooling system with the heating system to realize the automatic welding of pipe pieces. It has many advantages, such as higher production efficiency, high yield, low energy consumption, simple operation, good working environment, running stability, high degree of automation and so on.The research content of this paper includes two aspects:mechanical structure design and electrical control system design. According to the requirements of high frequency induction brazing process and the characteristics of the pipe pieces which will be welded, work fixture is designed. According to the load and operating conditions, the calculation and selection of the cam segmentation, deceleration motor and cylinder are completed. The overall design of mechanical structure including the turntable part, rack, cylinder, cabinet is designed. By using ANSYS Workbench, finite element analysis is applied in the important parts. According to the actual needs of brazing equipment, the overall plan of electrical control system is put forward. 2D electrical drawings are drawed by Elecworks, than combining Elecworks with SolidWorks to realize 3D cabinet layout, automatic wiring and cable drawing, which truly reflect the mechatronics design. In the basis of control process explicated, software program is developed by programmable logic control (PLC) in ord to control the whole system. The automation of brazing process is realized by system debugging. |
