PCD tools are widely applied in cutting process due to their high wear resistance and good thermal conductivity.The welding technology of PCD tools is a research hotspot in the field of PCD tools at present.PCD tools can be divided into single-edged PCD tools and multi-edged PCD tools.The welding technology of single edged PCD tools is relatively mature,but the research of multi-edged PCD tools welding is relatively little.Therefore,the brazing research for multi-edged PCD tools has important significance of engineering practice.Firstly,the multi-edged PCD tools base was designed,and the auxiliary heat dissipation device was designed based on structure of the tool and characteristics of induction heating.The brazing of multi-edged PCD tools was completed on the brazing process of single-edged PCD tools.The PCD insert was clamped while achieving a certain cooling effect by the auxiliary heat dissipation device.which ensure the brazing quality of PCD tools.Secondly,microstructure of the brazed joints was explored by scanning electron microscope and electron probe.The reheating makes the brazing material spreading more fully at the seam boundary and the joint surface of the weld seam more tighting.At the same time,the mutual dissolution process of Cu and Ni elements is intensified.Although the reheating intensifies the evaporation of the low melting point metal Zn,the brittle phases is reduced and the brazed joints is Strengthened to a certain extent.Then,the influence of reheating on the thermal damage of PCD composite sheet was explored.Although reheating aggravates the oxidation of binder cobalt in PCD,it relieves the residual stress on the surface of PCD,and reduce the loss of cobalt-containing oxides.The reheating inhibits the formation of holes on the surface of the PCD composite to a certain extent,and effectively prevents the generation and development of cracks in the PCD layer.Finally,the finite element analysis software was adopted to simulate the residual stress of the multi-edged PCD tools after welding.for explore the influence of reheating on size and distribution of the residual stress,The results shows that the reheating reduces the residual stress of the multi-edged PCD tools to a certain extent,especially in the welding area. |
