Analysis of the optical characteristics of aerosol in Nanjing by using the data from Rayleigh-Raman-Mie Lidar, which belong to the Comprehensive Observation Base of China Meteorological Administration, is presented in this paper. Introduced the Lidar’s instruments parameters and detection principle. We removed the background noise, corrected the geometric overlap factor correction and the distance for the detected data. Klett algorithm and Fernald method are used to inverse aerosol extinction coefficient for the data of the Mie channel, and Raman scattering algorithm for the data of the Raman channel.Compared with Mie channel inversion algorithm, the selection of reference height boundary value the problem of the assumed extinction scattering ratio are not considered, when we use Raman scattering algorithm. And we found that the removal of noise is the key and difficult point of inversion calculation. The wavelet threshold denoising method is used to calculate the Raman extinction coefficient. Their inversion results are consistent.Fernald method is used to inverse aerosol extinction coefficient for the data of the Mie channel. We observed and calculated the optical extinction coefficient of haze from November to December in 2013 by Lidar, and analyzed the optical extinction parameter properties by using the data from CALIPSO level.2. It is found that the results of the optical extinction characteristic parameters obtained by the two methods are consistent. Comparing the inversion results of winter dust in 2012, the results obtained by using CALIPSO and the micro-pluse Lidar are consistent.
