A Research Of The Influential Factors In Private-sphere Environmental Behavior

As the speeding up of our country’s industrialization and people’s excessive development and using of resources, the environmental issues have become one of the most critical problems which obstacles Chinese economic development and people’s lives. What determines the trend of future development is that whether we can change public attitude and behavior to environment and reshape the harmonious relationship between human and nature.Public participation has become a mainstream to solve environmental problems except relying technological means to control environment, but domestic research on public participation in environmental protection is still in the initial stage and it is not mature. Therefore, this paper will discuss the relationship between environmental concern and environmental behavior of private sector on the basis of learning abroad research results and analyzing the civil research literature, and also using the environmental concern as the core.We adopted the methods of combining theoretical research and empirical study and the paradigm of combining deductive and inductive analysis to deeply discuss the impact of environmental concern to environmental protection in private field.So the purpose of this research is as follows:1.In view of the characteristics of public environmental concern and environmental behavior of private field, we can formulate corresponding environmental educational measures to develop people’s positive and healthy environmental values and effectively change people’s negative attitude and behavior to environment.2.Through the descriptive analysis of environmental concern, we can conclude valuable theoretical and practical research which can provide guidance suggestion for formulating environmental policy to understand the present situation of environmental behavior and influence people to change values of environmental attitude, then wake up people’s consciousness to participate environmental protection.3.To provide theoretical support for establishing healthy environmental concern and environmental behavior of private field.This research mainly includes the following four contents:firstly, we used literature method to collect abroad and civil research literature of environmental concern and environmental behavior of private field. And we also understood the progress of research and analyzed deeply. Secondly, to understand the characteristics of environmental concern and private environmental behavior through sorting out analyzing the questionnaire dates. And we discussed the differences and interactions between the two through gender, age, nationality, religion, level of education, income, political affiliation, occupation, residence, regional type and other social demographic variables. Thirdly, we used correlation and regression analysis methods to study the correlation and predictability between environmental concern and private environmental behavior. Fourthly, we established the model of relationship between environmental concern and private environmental behavior through the method of logistic regression analysis.
