With the development of areca-nut market,traditional areca-nut packaging is unable to meet the growing market demand. Traditional areca-nut packaging requires a lot of manual works,which may cause mistakes when people work under high labor intensity environment.Because of it,packaging automation has become an urgent subject in areca-nut producers.This article mainly researched about automatic packing line for areca-nut,more in-depth research for automatic packing line of areca-nut’s bag opening and number counting device in project design,measure syntheses, performance analysis and so on.The main works in this paper can be concluded as follows:Analyzed traditional areca-nut packaging process,then proposed better automated packaging production line to complete each step of the corresponding device optimum design, difficulties of areca-nut automated packaging process-bag opening device and number counting device for the program innovative design.In the geometric parameters of the measurement and analysis of areca-nut, based on the study of the areca-nut dosing mechanism, sorting institutions, number counting institutions and transmission mechanism, and the design parameters of its structure, based on innovative design, completed areca-nut number counting device’s structural design.According to innovative design of areca-nut automatic packaging production line’s bag opening device, dimensional synthesis for bag opening device, completed the structural design of the bag opening device;Through analysis of the sucker’s force,determined the diameter and the movement of the cylinder, Pro/E was used to reverse simulation the cam profile, through motion simulation of bag opening device to prove correctness of the cylinder.Orthogonal experiment of Speed & Acceleration were used to optimize the cam profile’s contour line,for the optimized cam,Used Pro/E software to motion simulation of bag opening device,result proved that optimized bag opening device’s motion characteristics obvious improved,used Fluent to simulate fluid characteristic the optimized cylinder,proveed that optimized bag opening device open the bag’s process is correctness.
