Abstract/Summary:
Electrorheological fluid(ER fluid,ERF) is a sort of smart fluid which is made of polarizable particles and insulating liquid medium. under electric field, this ER fluid can change between liquid and solid phase continuously, rapidly and reversibly.Because of its short response time, small energy consumption, stable operation, and simple equipment, ER fluids have been widely used in electrical, mechanical and electrical engineering equipment. This thesis overviewed the composition of ER fluid, the mechanism and the influencing factors of the ER effect, Synthesised and studied the electrorheological properties of phthalocyanine copper oligomer(Cu Pc) and its polyaniline nanocomposites. The main contents are as follows:(1) Cu Pc material was synthesised by phthalic anhydride-urea route and refined using their different solubility in acid and alkali solutiont. Cu Pc/PANI nanocomposite particles with a core-shell structures was synthesised based on in-situ method and their behavior of the ER system was studied. The chemical structure, morphology and thermal stability of the synthetic products were characterized by FTIR、XRD、SEM、TEM,TG.(2) The silicone oil suspension of Cu Pc particles were prepared, and its ER effect under the electric field, incluiding the dynamic yield stress, static yield stress and viscoelastic of the ER fluid were explored. The relationship between yield stress and electric field strength of the system was explored by related models. The result shows that the Cu Pc ER system performance at a similar Newtonian fluid properties at zero field, and in the presence of electric field exhibits Bingham fluid properties, the behavior of Cu Pc ER system was investigated using CCJ and Bingham model and found that they are in good match of CCJ model.(3) Cu Pc/PANI electrorheological fluids were prepared by dispersing the anti-doping Cu Pc / PANI particles in silicone oil, its ER effect were explored under the electric field, incluiding the dynamic yield stress, static yield stress and viscoelastic of the ER fluid, tested the effects of doping p H, temperature and other factors on the system ER effect, and the results show that Cu Pc/PANI nanocomposite particles have better ER effect than pure Cu Pc particles duo to the interoperability of Cu Pc and PANI, which can support higher electric field and increase the yield stress. The level of doping of Cu Pc/PANI nanocomposite particles has significant impact on the ER effect, and the nanocomposite particles exhibit the best ER effect when thelevel of p H is 9; the electrorheological effect be reinforced with the increase of particles concentration; with the temperature increase, apparent viscosity decrease and yield stress increased(4) The relationship between the ER effect and dielectric properties of the two systems was analysised preliminarily by compared the performance of Cu Pc ER fluids and Cu Pc/PANI ER fluid and the dielectric spectroscopy of the two electrorheological fluid.
