In recent years, the city’s atmospheric pollution characteristics and the relationship between the emission reduction and air quality improvement is a hot issue in the field of environment. This paper analyzed the characteristics of atmospheric pollution in Hefei and the emission reduction status quo in Anhui Province. Using an air quality model to estimate the connection between them, we made a simulation analysis of the NOx drop impact on NO2 concentration. The main conclusions are as follow:The concentration of SO2, NO2,PM10,PM2.5 in Hefei are difference in different seasons, the SO2 concentration curve varies as an inverted U with timed, the NO2 concentration carve varies as an U with timed.The PM10 and PM2.5 concent-ration curves both have double peaks. The spatial distribution of SO2, NO2,PMio and PM2.5 is also discussed in this paper.The concentration of SO2 at Huposhan-zhuang,Mingzhuguanchang and Luyangqu monitoring stations is larger than other stations.The concentration of NO2 is highest at Sanlijie and Mingzhuguangchang monitoring stations. The concentration of PM10 in Chanhjiangzhonglu and luyang-qu monitoring station is slightly higher than other stations. The concentration of PM2.5 in most stations are similar with PM10. The correlation coefficient bwteen PM2.5 and PM10 is 0.888, the particle size ratio of PM2.5 to PM10 is 67.4%.By using LMDI(Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index) decomposition analysis method, the variation of industrial waste gas total emissions of Hefei and Anhui Province from 2011 to 2014 was decomposed into Structural factors effect. The emission intensity factor effect and the effect of economic growth factor. The results showed that the emission strength factor plays the most important role in Anhui, the the adjustment of industrial structure plays the most important role in Hefei.We compiled a WRF-Chem numeric air quality model to simulation the relationship between total emissions of NOX and NO2 concentration.When the total emission of NOx has a 20% cut, the average concentration of NO2 in hefei decrease 4.61μg/m3, its coresponding percentage is 16.2%. Furthermore, the simulation indicated that the emission in Anhui province does a contribution of 81.2% of the concentration of NO2 in Hefei, while the emission in Hefei does a contribution of only 63.4%.
