The thioxanthone compounds have been used as UV-light-cured material and photoinitiator with optical properties. The synthesis and properties of the thioxanthone compounds were studied.1、Forty-two thioxanthone compounds were prepared and characterized by melting point, IR spectra, UV-Vis spectra and 1H-NMR spectra. The compound 3 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The results of crystal structure determination show that there exist intramolecular hydrogen bonds, resulting in a three-dimensional supramolecular framework of the compound 3.2、The reaction was investigate between 2,2’-dithiodibenzoic acid and benzene derivant. And the effect of reaction temperature, stirring, catalysis, material ratio on the yield was investigated. The experimental results showed that the yield of the compounds 1 to 13 was 50% to 93% under the optimum reaction conditions:at the temperature of 60℃ to 90℃, mechanical stirring,n2,2’-dithiobenzoic acid:VH2SO4:mp2O5 : nbenzene=lnunol:10mL:3g:6mmol oil of vitriol and phosphorus pentoxide used as catalyst. The twenty-nine compounds were obtained from Hydroxyl-thioxanthone compounds.3、The fluorescence efficiency of all thioxanthone compounds were determined. The fluorescence efficiency of 1-hydroxy substituted thioxanthone is 0, which is lower than the fluorescence efficiency of thioxanthone. The fluorescence efficiency of 2-hydroxy substituted thioxanthone is higher than the fluorescence efficiency of thioxanthone. The fluorescence efficiency of 1-,4-,3-substituted thioxanthone with electron-donating groups is lower than the fluorescence efficiency of thioxanthone.4、The fluorescence efficiency of the compounds 9,11,19 and 20 was studied in presence of the different pH solution. It was found that fluorescence intensity is about be equal to naught form pH=2 to 7, and increased when pH raising form 8 to 12. It show that the compounds 9,11,19 and 20 could be used as photic switch of acid and base.5、The fluorescence efficiency of the compounds 9,11,19 and 20 was studied in presence of Cu2+、Hg2+、Ag\Pb2+ and Bi3+. The results show that the fluorescence efficiency of the compounds 19,20 was not changed in presence of Cu\Hg\Ag\ Pb2+ and Bi3+. The fluorescence efficiency of the compound 11 was increased in presence of Cu2+,but not changed in presence of Hg2+、Ag+、Pb2+ and Bi3+. And The fluorescence efficiency of the compound 9 was increased in presence of Cu2+、Hg2+、 Pb2+ and Bi3+, but not changed in presence of Ag+. The compound 11 could be used as reagent of Cu2+ determination with linearity from 1 × 10-6 to 5 × 10-6mol/L, R2=0.9939, RSD=1.00%. The compound 9 could be used as reagent of Cu2+ determination with linearity from 4×10-7 to 2×10-6mol/L, R2=0.99667, RSD=3.30%.6、The fluorescence intensity of DNA and ED in the presence of the compounds 9、11、19、20 was investigated. The results show that the fluorescence intensity of DNA and ED was increased in the presence of the compounds 9、11、19、20.
