With the growing applications of the rolling guideway, machine tools’ performance are greatly affected by rolling guideway. The wear-resisting performance is an important propertyof guideway. With the effect of fatigue stress generated by periodic reciprocating rolling contact, the cracks will initiate and propagate on guideway’s surface or subsurface, and finally leads to the failure. Grey cast iron commonly used as a machine tool guidewaystill has its own research values. But it possesses poor performance for the existence of graphite and other impurities, which will greatly impact the performance of guideway. So, in order to increase its wear resistance, the surface treatments process on the surface of a rolling guideway made by grey cast iron is necessary. Creatures achieve a specific function by comprehensive systems integrated many factors rather than a single one, which is known as coupling phenomenon. Based on the composite wear resistance structure of creatures, combining with laser melting technology, the bionic coupling surface treatment is used on grey cast iron guideway’s surface to strengthen its abrasion resistance. In this experiment, the abrasion resistance test is conducted on a self-designed wear test bench with 14 samples, in order to find out the optimal experimental conditions for wear-resisting, at the same time the relationship between abrasion loss and all characteristics of bionic samples are studied. The result indicates that during stable wear stage, the sample with 7 mm friction direction spacing(FDS), 5 mm oblique direction spacing(ODS),30 °Angle of two direction owns the minimum wear loss. Among all the characteristics, FDS and ODS has obvious effects on wear loss. And the comprehensive influence of all characteristics to wear lose is analysed through multiple linear regression analysis, and the linear regression equation will provide guidance for further study. Considering the roller stress distribution on the contact line is uneven, the non-uniform distribution samplesare designed, the test result shows the area contacting with both end of the roller has larger stress than other areas, so with the increase of distribution density of the bionic elements on outer sides of samples, wear-resisting performance will be correspondingly enhanced.
