Influence Factors Analysis And Control Strategy Research On The Large- Scale Petrochemical Project Design Schedule Management

In recent years, with the expansion of the project scale, the diversification of the production plant, the complexity of the regional environment, and the foreign enterprises entering the domestic market, the competition among petrochemical enterprises became more and more fierce. Therefore, the requirements for engineering design work became more and more strict. The engineering design work had a deep relation with national energy safety, petrochemical products supply, the survival and development of enterprises, enterprise development and designers’ ability reflection. Due to the long time for design, the large scale of the project, the complex of the objective structure and project management process, it is especially important to study the schedule control of the design stages.This paper studied the basic theory of project schedule, control and combined theoretical analysis with empirical research to analyze the influence factors and the control strategies of the schedule management in design stages of large scale petrochemical projects. Firstly, summarize the impact factors for progress control management in general project design stages via literature review and theoretical analysis. Then, identify the main factors affecting design schedule management in design stage for the large scale petrochemical projects through design questionnaire, the empirical research and quantitative data analysis. In this way, the main influencing factors can be identified and the schedule control strategy can be proposed accordingly for the design stage of large-scale petrochemical projects. This study may render some helps for the engineering design companies in risk prevention of the large-scale petrochemical project schedule management.
