In this study, composite enzymes (amylase, xylanase and pectinase) were applied in extraction process of paper-making reconstituted tobacco of brand A, we explore the optimum reaction pH value, temperature, reaction time and dosages of amylase, xylanase and pectinase to increase the extraction rate and paste volume of tobacco fragments without influencing the quality of tobacco. On the other hand, we investigated the possibility of tobacco powder stick replacement of tobacco debris. The chemical components, sensory quality of raw material were analyzed by investigating the tobacco manufacturers. The main results of this study are listed as follows:1.The optimum reaction condition of composite enzymes (amylase, xylanase and pectinase) was determined based on the the production technology of brand A as follows:pH value 4.95, temperature 55oC, reaction time 20 min. The dosages of composite enzymes was also determined:amylase 0.5%, xylanase 0.5% and pectinase 1.0%.The extraction rate of tobacco debris with optimum ratio of three enzymes was 51.38%,which increased 6% compared with the CK.2.The results of sensory test showed that the sensory quality of reconstituted tobacco leaves which was treated with composite enzymes was better than CK. To avoid large fluctuations in the quality of reconstituted tobacco leaves, decreasing the use of paste of tobacco fragments after tobacco fragments treated with composite enzymes. The paste of tobacco fragments in brand A was decreased from 60% to 55%, and the sensory quality was not changed compared with CK.3.Pilot-scale experiment on the application of composite enzymes (amylase, xylanase and pectinase) in extraction process of paper-making reconstituted tobacco of brand A was also conducted. The results showed that the extraction rate of tobacco debris and paste volume of tobacco fragments were increased by 6% and 5%, respectively. The amount of tobacco fragments used for producing 10 tons of brand A was decline by 13.03%.4.Through increasing the amount of tobacco bar from 4% to 8% during the production of brand B, the sensory quality of product was not affected. This results technology was proved in production and get good performance. At present, the annual output of brand B amounts to 2000 tons, which could save 33.65 tons tobacco fragments by practical production per year.
