TiO2 is widely used in the photocatalysis filed, but the efficiency of photocatalytic reactions is limited by the high recombination rate of photoinduced electron-hole pairs and by the absorption capability for visible light of photocatalysts. Researchs showed that the photocatalytic performance of TiO2 can be improved by compounded with PANI. In this paper, The dispersion of TiO2 were prepared using Ti(C4H9O)4 as Titanium source. As-prepared TiO2 dispersion was spreaded on ITO substrate by Doctor-blade method. Different oxidation states of PANI/ITO and PANI/TiO2/ITO composite films were prepared by cyclic voltammetry, and the photogenerated carriers transfer mechanisms were carried out by taking advantages of XRD、FT-IR、DRS、UV-vis、Raman and XPS technics. The degradation of Rhodamine B(RhB) was investigated by different oxidation states of PANI/ITO and PANI/TiO2/ITO composite films, the results suggested that EM/TiO2 showed the highest photocatalytic activity; and the photocatalytic activity was increased with the increasing of the light intensity under acidic condition and low concentrations. For the PNA/TiO2 system, the active species was hydroxyl radicals; and in the case of EM/TiO2 system, the active component was reactive oxygen species. Finally, the reaction kinetics equation of RhB had been studied, and the results showed that the degradation of RhB concentration in the solution followed a first order reaction kinetics.
