Research On CAPP System Of Three - Cone Drill Based On SolidWorks

With the rapid development of oil and gas industry, the high processing quality of tricone bit is required in deepened formation. Although computer aided process planning (CAPP) was used by a lot of tricone bit manufacturers to guide the production of the tricone bit, which was based on two-dimensional CAD platform. But three-dimensional CAD platform has become the mainstream of software for the enterprise design of tricone bit, the traditional tricone bit CAPP system can not meet the production demand of the enterprise. Therefore the CAPP system of tricone bit on three-dimensional CAD platform needs to be developed. For this case, the CAPP system of tricone bit based on SolidWorks is developed, the major contents are as follows:(1) With SolidWorks configuration capabilities and process-oriented methods of features design, the processing have been simulated from rough to finished production accordance with the form of "modeling by process", in which the processing route and geometric model have been integrated.(2) A method of adding process information in geometric feature model by the properties of the SolidWorks software is presented, the geometric information and process information of parts are extracted by CAPP system, finally CAPP system and SolidWorks platform have been integrated.(3) The overall data has been classified, and CAPP system database has been established by database management system of Access 2007, data management and maintenance has been completed in the development module of the database management.(4) The generation technology of process card has been studied, process templates have been customized on SolidWorks engineering diagram, and the process diagrammatic drawing is automatically generated by connecting with parts diagram; the output of process card has been completed by the association of database, model file and process templates.
