Environment is a matter of human survival. We must pay attention to all kinds of pollution especially the water pollution problem. In recent years, with the improvement of people’s living standard and the rapid development of economy in our country, the amount of sewage produced rapidly. And the composition of the wastewater became more complex, pollutants such as nitrogen and phosphorus in wastewater would cause the eutrophication.With the intensifying of water environment pollution and the increasing of people’s understanding on environmental protection, our country has become more strictly to the requirements of sewage discharge standard, and put forward the challenge to the traditional wastewater treatment technology. Sewage treatment technology was transferred from removing organic matter singly into both removing organic matter and the nitrogen and phosphorus. So how to removel pollutants in water economicly and efficiently has become a hot topic in the field of water pollution.With the further development and construction of the industrial park of Songyuan, the land use scale was expanding, and various enterprises in the area of operation were normal operating. So the amount of sewage produced was increasing year by year. Therefore, it was necessary to build wastewater collection and treatment facilities engineering to promote the construction and development of the region, to promote petrochemical industry concentration, to elaborate the construction of industry chain, to protect the city water supply from contaminating. The recent deadline of the project was by 2015, while the forward was by 2020. According to the forward deadline, the engineering design scale of the industrial park sewage quantity was determined at 30000 m3/d.According to the requirements, the sewage would be discharged into songyuan sewage treatment plant in the north of the further processing after treatment to reach level 3 standards of <Integrated wastewater discharge standard > GB8978-1996. Considering the CODcr, BOD5 of influent were respectively 800, 350 mg/l and effluent requirements, the paper compared the advantages and disadvantages of the sewage treatment process, and determined the design of the industrial park sewage treatment facilities was “hydrolytic acidification + biochemical”. The research contents of the thesis mainly are as follows:(1) Through investigating the project background, I understanded the natural conditions of the industrial park. And then, I analyzed the impact of natural conditions on the construction project. At the same time, it could provide evidence for the selection of sewage plant process if we understand the region sewage water quality situation and emission standards.(2) According to the industrial park of sewage and industrial wastewater emissions of the status quo, the sewage treatment engineering design adopted the scheme of hydrolytic acidification + biochemical treatment. This is one of the most economic solution. At the same time, the process of wastewater treatment process has carried on the detailed design, including the main structure design and pipeline corrosion protection, etc.(3) Investment estimation of the sewage treatment facilities construction project could determine the feasibility and necessity of project implementation. Through the analysis of investment and profit, the payback period of investment payback was lower than the industry benchmark standard of 15 years. And it showed that the project could timely recovery of investment.
