Kapok fiber is a natural fiber which has high empty structure, so the warmth retention property is very good, and environmental friendly. Seamless knitting technology is a one-time molding technology, based on the physiology and the human body curve. It’s design style depend on the modern computer technology. The fabric is wearing snug and has good toning effect. If Kapok fiber is applied to the seamless knitted fabric, the fabric will have excellent warmth retention property and has a good taking performance. This paper has studied the basis of physical and mechanical properties of several kinds of kapok fiber. And kapok blended yarn was applied to the seamless knitted fabric. We have tried to weave class A kapok seamless knitted fabric(by means of orthogonal experimental design method to design the different levels of the veil of raw materials, kapok and polyamide mixed ratio and organization structure of the 16 pieces of fabric) and class B loop kapok seamless knitted fabric(using 30/70 cotton/cotton blended yarn and 30/20/50 cotton/tencel/cotton blended yarn, by changing the looped yarn, designed the eight pieces of fabric), and total is 24 pieces. For class A kapok seamless knitted fabric we studied the thermal wet comfort performance and the physical and mechanical properties, for class B loop kapok seamless knitted fabric we studied the thermal wet comfort properties. In order to provide certain reference basis of the application and design of kapok fiber on seamless fabric.Through the study of the basic physical and mechanical properties of kapok blended yarn, we know that with the kapok fiber content in the blended yarn increases the hygroscopicity of kapok blended yarn increases, and the hygroscopicity of kapok blended yarn which containing tencel is best. But with the the increase of kapok fiber content in the blended yarns the tensile properties of kapok blended yarn is variation.For class A kapok seamless knitted fabric, when mixed proportion and organization structure at the same time, as the veil of kapok fiber content in the raw material cotton blended yarn increases, the thermal properties of the fabric, hygroscopicity, permeability is good, while its permeability, softness and wrinkle resilience, tensile resilience and bursting performance is bad. When the veil of raw material and the organizational structure at the same time, with the increase of mixed proportion of polyamide fiber proportion, fabric air permeability, softness and wrinkle resilience, stretching restorative and bursting performance is good, but the warmth retention property, hygroscopicity and moisture permeability is bad. The warmth retention property, moisture permeability, wrinkle resilience and tensile resilience and bursting performance of 3 + 1 false rib is best, and the permeability and softness of weft plain tissue is best. Using the fuzzy mathematics method to make comprehensive evaluation, and the result is that when the raw materials for the veil of 30/70 cotton/cotton blended yarn, mixed ratio of 100:0, the organizational structure for the 3 + 1 false rib, comprehensive performance of the fabric is the best.For class B loop kapok seamless knitted fabric, when the fabric loop yarn using the same raw material, the veil is 30/70 cotton/cotton blended yarn, warmth retention property, exposure to cold feeling and permeability of the fabric is good; when the veil is 30/20/50 cotton/tencel/cotton blended yarn, heat conductivity, moisture absorption and moisture permeability of the fabric is better. When the veil of the fabric raw material at the same time, the warmth retention property, coarse sense of cold, moisture absorption and moisture permeability increased with the increase of kapok content in the looped yarn; and thermal conductivity and permeability of the fabric is variational with the increase of kapok content in the looped yarn. Using analysis method of fuzzy mathematics to evaluate the thermal wet comfort performance, the result is when the veil of the fabric material is 30/70 cotton/cotton blended yarn, and loop yarn material is 30/70 cotton/cotton blended yarn, the thermal wet comfort performance of the fabric is best.Based on the research conclusion of the taking performance of class A kapok seamless knitting fabric and thermal and moisture comfortable properties of class B loop kapok seamless knitting fabric, we have designed a set of weman’s kapok seamless knitting underwear of winter. And theory was applied to the actual production,testing the value of kapok further inspection in the process of practice and prospect in seamless knitted fabric.
