Carbon dioxide geological storage is one of the effective techniques to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Developed countries(such as America and Europe) have implemented a series of investigation and demonstration projects about carbon dioxide geological storage and have accumulated a series of carbon dioxide geological storage technology.In china, Carrying out carbon dioxide geological storage investigation and evaluating our national carbon dioxide geological storage potential capacity analysis and suitability assessment comprehensively will offer a technical support for the technology of carbon dioxide emissions and carrying out carbon dioxide geological storage. It is of great signigicance to respond to global climate change, fulfill its international commitments, set the negative national image and improve the international negotiation position while keeping the development of the social economic and sustainable development.Based on the analysis of carbonate formation, the calculation principle and method for carbon dioxide geological storage, the sedimentary basin in the era of 800-5000m depth intervals are highly generalized one by one, in the analysis of conceptualization of regional geological structures, oil and eology, geothermal, seismic and tectonic characteristics of each Basin, the potential evaluation parameters and the carbonate reservoir of carbon dioxide storage potential results table are obtained, beside, the Chinese of carbonate rock sedimentary basin map is draw.
