As the lightest material of structure, magnesium alloys are drawn the attention by the automotive and electronics industries owing to the advantages of higher specific strength,shocking absorption,higher electromagnetic shielding and so on. However, due to the hexagonal closed-packed crystal structure, the processed magnesium expresses strong sheet texture or fiber texture. The problem limits the application of magnesium. In this paper, aiming at the engineering problem of poor formability of magnesium alloy sheets at room temperature and according to ECAP process, brings forward an academic idea for controlling basal plane orientation and mean while makes a comparison between the sheet by room temperature and that by 150℃。.Effects of these two different ECAR processing on the evolution of microstructure and mechanical properties in AZ3 l magnesium alloy sheets were investigated.The main contents and results are as the following.① Equal channel angular rolling at room temperature, such as on the impact of AZ31 magnesium alloy sheet, with the increase of rolling passes, the grain structure sheet has not been refined. However, the base surface texture to get weakened. It is reduced from 8.19 to 4.54.② The mechanical properties of magnesium alloy sheet by equal channel angular rolling is improvement. Its tensile strength is increased by the original 278.0MPa to 295.4MPa, the yield strength of the original 128.0MPa reduced to 79.8MPa, n value increased from the original 0.29 to 0.45, r values decrease from the original 1.92 to 1.13, the erichsen value increased by the original 2.75 mm to 4.38 mm.③ Equal channel angular rolling at 150℃ influence of AZ31 magnesium alloy, with the increase of rolling pa.sses, the grain structure was refined for the same sheet. However, the base surface texture to get weakened. It is reduced from 8.19 to 3.58.④ Once channel angular rolling sheet strength improved significantly, improved ductility. Its tensile strength is increased by the original 278.0MPa to 307.0MPa, the yield strength of the original 128.0MPa reduced to 87.0MPa, n value increased from 0.29 to 0.49 of the original, r values decrease from the original 1.92 to 0.90, a significant improvement in the anisotropic plate.
