As the key equipment of the continuous caster, the design, manufacturer and operation of mold oscillation plays an essential role in the output and quality of casting production, also it‘s quite important for safety production. In recent years, the electro-hydraulic servo drive system designed by our domestic company has been successfully applied in production. This technique has been applied in the slab, billet and sheet billet caster field.The parameters of leaf spring play the dominant role in the dynamic characteristics of the mold oscillation, but the research of leaf spring‘s parameters are quite few. Consequently, there are seldom theoretical guidance when we design the leaf springs. On the other hand, most of the simulation system is independent of electro-hydraulic system or mechanical system, which often exists the coupling effect between them. In order to deepen the design theory and method of continuous caster mold oscillation, this paper, which is supported by a cooperation project between Chongqing University and a company, study these problems above from the following aspects:① Analyze the structure of vibration device of a kind of slab mold oscillation, deduce the its analytic formula of natural frequency, and verify the formula by comparison between the natural frequency calculated by analytical method and FEM method;② Analyze the structure parameter of mold oscillation by the local sensitivity analysis, find out the sensitive parameters of different step stiffness. Study the variation trend when the sensitive parameters change around the initial value, in order to provide the guidance for optimization of leaf spring structural parameters;③ Established the rigid and flexible coupled multi-body dynamic system of mold oscillation in ADAMS, and build the electro-hydraulic control block diagram in MATLAB/Simulink, set up the co-simulation model by the interface of the two software. Carry out the simulation based on the model established above and analyze the dynamic characteristics under different working conditions;④ Verify the rigid and flexible coupled multi-body dynamic system of mold oscillation set in ADAMS according to the field test data, demonstrate the reliability of method which is used to build mechanical model.The research result of this paper can provide guidance for the design and optimization of vibration device of model oscillation, it has significant value for practical engineering.
