Gear hobbing occupies more than 90% in gear processing, under complicated conditions extremely high performance gear bearing capacity, life and safety and drive stability behavior directly associated with tooth surface morphology. Therefore, the design demand of the gear tooth surface microscopic morphology for efficient green manufacturing is put forward new problems; improving the gear material performance and processing stability, forming precision and machining efficiency forms more sharp contradiction with more and more high demand, There are many factors that can affect the machining accuracy of gear hobbing, this paper mainly study the influence of gear hobbing principle, the processing system, cutting tool, machine tool vibration on the machining accuracy of gear hobbing.In this paper, the main research contents include:① Research the mapping relation on gear hobbing machining system error and the machining accuracy. Machining system exists installation error, there is movement error in the machining process, this paper built the relational model of gear hobbing machining system error and the gear error, analyzed the mechanism of the influence of gear hobbing machining system error on the machining accuracy, get the mapping relation on gear hobbing machining system error and the machining accuracy.② Research the mapping relation on the processing principle error and the machining accuracy. The ideal involute gear tooth profile, is the rack envelope of the rack and gear meshing; in actual machining process, the cutter can’t cut gear workpiece continuously, but interrupted cutting, which leads to a inevitable tooth profile error in the process of gear hobbing. This paper analyzed the processing principle error, built the model of the processing principle error, get the mapping relation on the processing principle error and the machining accuracy, validated the mapping relation using matlab simulation.③ Research the mapping relation on the hob error and the machining accuracy. the hob exists error when sharping hob, this paper built the relational model of the hob error and the gear error, analyzed the mechanism of the influence of the hob error on the machining accuracy, get the the mapping relation on the hob error and the machining accuracy, validated the mapping relation using matlab simulation.④ Research on the influence of machine tool vibration on the machining accuracy. In gear hobbing machining process, the input signal is always exists, the machine will respond excitation signal, which effect the precision of gear hobbing. This paper established the gear hobbing machine vibration model, analyzed the vibration response of the model, find ways of reducing the response amplitude of gear hobbing machine, to reduce the influence of the vibration on gear hobbing accuracy; get the influence of the vibration on the machining accuracy and experimental verification.
