Dust explosion protection of dust catcher has been one of the key objects of study at home and abroad in the field of dust explosion. There are many factors which cause fire and explosion of dust catcher. An important one of those factors is sparks, which are covered by dust without detection and flow into the dust catcher through the pipeline. These sparks lead to fire and explosion because it is easy to meet the conditions of dust explosion in closed precipitators. Therefore, it is a real problem to solve to meet the needs of current industry that designing a set of spark detection and alarm system in dust removal pipeline and extinguished the sparks in the early time. In this paper, a complete set of spark detection and alarm system has been designed after having a further study of pipeline characteristics and various spark sensors in foreign countries.Firstly, a pipeline project mathematical model of spark detection has been established. It has been analyzed and quantified the impact of spark detection irradiance of various factors with MATLAB. Then amplified circuits have been designed based on a silicon PIN photodiode. A photoelectric conversion and voltage pulses designed according to the idea of the sensor.In this thesis, a lower computer system control circuit is designed based on TMS320F2812.Sensor signals can be effectively collected and processed.In the detection of a valid spark, it can be audible and visual alarm. Interface circuits is designed which is used to achieve lower computer to communicate with the host computer, and interface circuits for system development for subsequent extinguished has been reserved yet.Sensor signal acquisition and processing procedures are completed under CCS3.3 development environment. Driver development is completed based on the Modbus protocol to achieve communication of TMS320F2812 with MCGS touch screen. It can effectively realize touch screen receiving the transmitted frame, parsing and response.PC software system is designed based on MCGS embedded touch screen which can achieve real-time communication with lower machine DSP system. Alarm information and system information can be monitored by the operation of the touch screen in real-time. Operators with different management authorities are able to achieve sub-rights of operation to the system.Experiment platform has been designed to simulate sparks generation and movement in pipelines. The spark detection and alarm systems can be tested based on this platform.
