With increasing demand for resources, social and economic value ofmarine developments of vital importance., But the pursuit foreconomic blindly will cause irreversible damage to the environment. Therefore, we shouldconduct plan and development ofmarine engineering rationally, performsustainable development of coastal engineering,and fully consider the environmental impact caused bysea-related projects.In Addition, during the procedure of marine resources development, we should take sustainability as prerequisite, take development as main line and take efficiency as characteristics.Meizhou Bay is a semi-enclosed bay, which is surrounded on three sides by mountains.Meizhou Bay iswell sheltered because of natural condition,and it is ice-free and deepwater natural harbor. South Bank area of Meizhou Bayhas convenient location and traffic conditions.However, there’s a number of sea-related projects in the region, whichsignificantly impact on the surrounding environment. This article is under the premise of sounding action on the sea/land area of the south coast in Meizhou Bay and the experiment on sea/land/wind circulation. Besides, it is based on the main source intensity and monitoring data in south coast. By the mean of conducting researches on environmental influence of south coast project, this treatise can guide the sustainable development for coast projects in this area and become the reference of projects in other districts. So, this paper is divided into three parts to carry out relevant researches:The first part is the analysis of the atmospheric boundary layer waters in the south bank of Meizhou Bay. By the introduction of mesoscale meteorological model and the observation and analysisof wind direction, wind velocity and inversion layer in south bank of Meizhou Bay,the general characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer in the region can be acquired, which can support the research on the diffusion of engineering pollution and transfer rule.Researches on sea/land/wind circulation in second part is closely related with pollution phenomena.By observation experiment and sea/land/wind circulation numerical simulation in south bank sea area in Meizhou Bay which is based on observationinformation, research on the existence of basic sea/land temperature difference which is significant for appearance of sea/land wind and the characteristics of sea/land wind in this district can be conducted.In the third part,numerical simulation for key pollution resources in south bank in Meizhou Bay is established in AERMOD and CALPUFF software. Afteranalyzingcomparatively the influence of terrain and meteorological environment in this area to simulation ability of AERMOD and CALPUFF model. The air quality model of contaminants simulation in south bank sea area and coast area can be decided.
