In order to study the environmentally friendly water-based cutting fluid, this paper mainly discussed the kind and amount of the surfactant, co-surfactant, rust inhibitors, defoamers. This environmentally friendly water-based cutting fluid was tested by GB/T6144-85 quality indicators. The results show that: by using the mixture of reagent A and reagent B which mass ratio is 1:1 as the composite surfactant can emulsify the plant-base oil very well; when the mass ratio of composite surfactant and the plant-basis oil is 3:1, the plant-basis oil can be emulsified well; using the mixture of reagent C, reagent D and reagent E which mass ratio is 7:6:1 as the rust, the production requirements can be antirustted well; when the concentration of the mixture is 15%, it will be enough to achieve a better anti-corrosion effect; it is easy to achieve defoaming effect by using reagent F as the antifoaming agent in cutting fluid, and when the weight of reagent F is 0.2 g in 100 g cutting fluid, it is enough to achieve the goal.According to the above results, the ingredients of the environmentally friendly water-based cutting fluid were known after adding some other fungicides, stabilizers and so on. It includes 10%-20% of plant-basis oil, 35%-50% of the composite surfactant which contains reagent A and reagent B, and the mass ratio of them is 1:1, 15-20% of complex rust which contains reagent C, reagent D and reagent E, and the mass ratio of them is 7:6:1, 0.1%-0.2% of reagent F as the antifoaming agent. In addition, it concludes a small amount of fungicide, salt and water. The environmentally friendly water-based cutting fluid were meet the national standard of the GB/T6144-85 quality indicators.The formulation of environmentally friendly water-based cutting fluid is used for the lateral project of the factory. In the factory, it mainly cut steel. It found that the cutting fluid shows better rust resistance when using alkaline electrolytic water as the dilution. In order to achieve easy and convenient operation, this paper studied the experiment equipment design which can operate the alkali electrolysis of water easily. In this paper, it also studied procedures, maintenance and use precautions of the experiment equipment. The results showed that the experiment equipment included the softener preparation device electrolytic alkaline water, alkaline electrolysis section and cutting fluid mixing part. It can satisfy production requirements in the factory.According to the experiment equipment which can operate electrolysis of water, this paper also discussed the preparation conditions of alkaline water electrolysis. The number of electrolytic cell’s blocks in series, type of electrolyte, the electrolyte concentration, and the electrolysis voltage were investigated. The results show that: when choosing two blocks of electrolytic cell in series, using potassium carbonate(K2CO3) solution as the electrolyte, the concentration of K2CO3 solution was 0.5% and the electrolysis voltage was 21 V, the pH value of 11.55 of alkaline electrolysis water can be quickly obtained. By the determination of the stability of the electrolytic alkaline water, it shows that strong alkaline electrolyzed water can be stored in short time in closed conditions.
