The refrigeration technology has not only improved the manufacturing technology level, it has also given the serious energy and environment problems. For chemical companies, the optimal design and energy-saving modification of refrigeration system with a great deal of energy, has an important realistic significance for reducing running cost, improving products quality, creating profits, implementing the policy of energy and emission reduction, and developing low carbon economy. With the viewpoint of energy-saving, Firstly, the problems in running of refrigeration system for Lucky Film Co., Ltd. had been indicated, by summarizing and analyzing the operational data for the past few years. Secondly, the cardinal principles of optimization design for chilled water refrigeration system was presented, the main ways and measures were summarized and analyzed, and the technology roadmap of energy-saving optimization was provided. Then the steady modeling of water-chilling packages using the vapor compression cycle with screw compressor by the first law of thermodynamics was built, and the effect of cooling water inlet temperature and chilled water outlet temperature on the water chiller performance was also discussed, that will be providing technical support for the carried out of energy-saving optimization scheme. At last, the energy-saving optimization scheme were determined, the scheme not only get the better energy-saving benefit, but also gain the lager economic and social benefit. In 2014, the amount of water used reduced 65.5%, the water and electricity consumption per cooling capacity reduced 68.5% and 8.7% respectively, it get cost reduction of about 1.217 million Yuan, The energy consuming dropped by 5.23%.
