| With Global warming and the Copenhagen conference, the emission of CO2 has undoubtedly become the focus of the world. China, the world’s largest energy producer and consumer, is also a major national carbon emissions, and to find a way to solve the problem is an urgent need to balance the relationship between energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions and economic growth. The traditional model of economic growth is always the focus at home and abroad for its high input, high consumption and high pollution. Now how to decrease the emission of carbon and increase the GDP in an environmental way has become a priority issue in China.Since the beginning of the “ 11 th five-year plan â€, The Chinese government has emphasized the goal of energy intensity, the last eleven five plan "requirements, the unit GDP energy consumption reduced by 20% compared to 2005. In addition, at the beginning of the "12th Five Year" plan proposed by the government, the carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP, the decision to make the carbon emissions quantified targets declined 40% to 45% below the 2005 volume in 2020. See from this,it is a great progress that the policy of changing the aim from controlling the energy intensity to controlling carbon emissions is the qualitative change in energy saving and emissions reduction. This paper, on the basis of ECK hypothesis, using the domestic and foreign scholars ’ research results for reference and take Hunan Province as example to build regression model and study the correlation between the carbeon dioxide emissions of the energy consumption and economic growth. This paper analyses the current situation of energy, carbon emission and economic growth. And calculate the ECK curve inflection point. Then inspect the change of Environmental kuznets’ curve inflection point under the influence of FDI,urbanization level, energy intensity, trade etc. and its effect on carbon emission.Main innovation points in this article:1) Taking Hunan province as the breakthrough point. ECK curve is relatively new at present, in the related studies, the research objects of most scholars are mainly countries. Most of Chinese students limit the research objects to the country, or make contrast among the east, middle and west regions, and seldom make separate research on the middle and western provinces.2) Replacing time series data with panel data. In the related study of kuznetscurve on environment, the researchers mainly adopt inter-provincial time series data, but this article mainly uses the panel data of 14 cities(autonomous prefecture) of Hunan province to build panel regression model. Compared with time series data model, the panel data can cover both time and section, with less heteroscedasticity of estimating model and high degree of freedom, therefore, it has certain advantages.3) Carbon calculation and benchmark data. The carbon emissions used in the model is those of the industrial enterprises of Hunan province, and calculating the carbon emissions of Hunan province using the coefficient of “General Principles of Comprehensive Energy Consumption Calculation †is more coincident with the situation of Hunan province. When selecting FDI index, the selected FDI actual utilization volume can reflect the influence of FDI on ECK inflection point and carbon emission than FDI volume. |
