Now,rod and wire rolling process has been automated and continuous, so that in the actual rolling process,it is high speed, high precision, good quality and production efficiency of the product. Because of the above advantages, the traditional pass design methods can not meet the modern production requirements of high-efficiency, high-precision. With the rapid development of computer hardware and software systems, computer-aided design has penetrated all areas of industrial design, in the pass design, computer aided pass design also requires rapid development to meet modern market demands.Based on development of computer-aided pass design at home and abroad as well as actual status of rod and wire pass design and advantages and disadvantages of computer-aided design,this paper is in-depth research for the establishment of technology software interface and the writing of internal algorithm in pass computer-aided design with bar and wire rod mill. In this paper, based on the principle of continuous rolling of micro-tension, using the "two round clip a flat" pass design method,it has a design of pass parameters for bar and wire rod mill. The calculation of isometric pass based on finished size set as the objective function,and the calculation of intermediate pass parameters by Osama Rostov Chomsky method, Smirnoff and Bhqienuf calculated method, and the optimized design of pass parameters through the bite condition, the motor relative load, the overall energy consumption and other conditions, and the calculation of force parameters using the optimized pass parameters by by Sims and Echo Lund, and finally using the command file and MFC it has a secondary development for Auto CAD and completes parametric drawing work for pass system. After completion of all programs and interfaces,it proved that the preparation of this software has been better accuracy by comparing the calculated data and the actual data, and it has some practical value.The software developed by Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 as the compiler. Mathematical model algorithm written in C ++ language, it can effectively improve the software run faster, reduce design cycle. The proprietary MFC Library of VC ++ constitute software interface, and many tools of the MFC canadjust interface to make the software more user-friendly, so that the operator can easily get started. Details are as follows:1) Analysis of rolling force parameters model, wide spread model, temperature model, female cross-sectional area of the models related to pass design model, and pick out a model for the software, and to determine the actual application working conditions of the various models.2) By the use of MFC class library for Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 write an interface of this software, above algorithms of 1) write C ++ language into the program framework, with the use of command files to complete parametric drawing work.3) Compares the value of calculation with measurement data by the use of domestic enterprises in a large rolling bar mill to verify the reliability, strict and rationality for the software.
