Synthesis of nanomaterials and research of performance are the foundation of nanotechnology. It is the most important part of nanotechnology and is aslo very active. Metal nanoparticles and metal sulfide drew much attention due to its unique electrical, optical, magnetic, mechanical features and so on. So, the preparation of monodispersity, small size, controllable morphology and uniform size distribution nanomaterials has been hot spot in the research field of functional nanomaterials. Different nanomaterials were synthesized via the thermal decomposition method.The four parts of the study content as follows:Part one: The monodispersity, small size, controllable morphology and uniform size distribution of Fe NPs was synthesized We know that iron nanoparticles were very easy to be oxidized in the high temperature. So, we proposed a new method of synthesis which is continuous titration method for obtaining Fe NPs of purity and protection against oxidation of products. This method is used to produce reducing agents of C, CO, and H2 via the thermolysis of oleic acid to prevent oxidation of Fe NPs. As a result, the advantage of using continuous titration method is that we can get Fe NPs by the prolongation continuous titration complex of precursor Fe(acac)3-OM to reduce the titration rate of precursor so that the decomposition of the precursor monomers can be fully reduction.Part two: the nanocomposites CNTs/Fe NPs was synthesized The study shows that the multi-walled carbon nanotube can not only lower reaction temperature and but also can obtain iron nanoparticles with high crystallinity, good monodispersity, as well as uniform size and nanocomposites CNTs/Fe.Part three: Fe1-x S electrochemical nanomaterials were synthesized The Fe1-x S electrochemical nanomaterials were synthesized via two-step hot injection method. The influences of the reaction temperature, the molar ratio of precursors as well as the surfactant on the crytal phase, morphology, crystallinity and dispersion degree of the products were also investigated. Different morphology Fe1-x S electrochemical nanomaterials were synthesized.Part four: Cadmium sulfide quantum dots(Cd S QDs) were synthesized Cadmium sulfide quantum dots were synthesized via one pot and hot injection methods using Cd(NO3)2·4H2O and sulfur as the precursors and oleylamine as solvent and surfactant, and the influences of the reaction temperature, the Cadmium sulfide mole ratio as well as the reaction time on the size of the QDs were also investigated. The research shows that the monodispersity, small size, uniform size and high crystallinity of Cd S QDs was synthesized and the size and fluorescent of quantum dots could be adjusted by changing of reaction temperature and reaction time.
