Research On Rolling Process Of Casing L80 1 By Φ177PQF Rolling Mills

Casing L80 1 is the production casing used in deep well and complicate condition of oil field. Based on diverse working condition featured by high internal and external pressure, production with excellent mechanical performance is necessary.In this paper, based on Angang Steel Company casing L80 1 research and development projects, a product meeting the criteria of API SPEC 5CT was developed under the existing equipments. The chemical composition of casing L80 1 was designed. The material- for casing L80 1 was determined as AS110. According to the demands for product’s properties and characteristics of manufacuturing plant, the process route for producing this casing was confirmed as: Steel making+Continous Cast and Continous Rolling+Hot Rolling+Finishing Heat-treatment. The relative facters such as, material performance, dimensional precision, which will affect the performance of casing, was discussed in this paper. The proper processing route, including rolling and heat-treatment was employed to guarantee the precise dimension and promoted mechanical properties of production.The result of actual application indicated that, the designed chemical composition(L80 1),rolling process and heat-treatment technology are feasible and meet the criteria of API Spec 5CT.
