Three parts were studied in this paper about the experimental study on acidity ofNTO. Free acid content was measured by ion chromatography method in NTO, andcombining with the acidity of acid dissociation of NTO, theoretical analysis of NTO. Acidcorrosion and prevention of experimental study of metal on NTO was studied. The testresults show that:Through the analysis of ion chromatograph, the residue of nitrate content of NTO in avery low level (5.34ug/g).The same concentration of NTO in the solution, the hydrogen ofion concentration C [H+]=0.011mol/L is more than nitrate concentration C1(NO3-)=1.72x10-6mol/L. The free nitrate content in the NTO is place a very low levels. The nitric acid inNTO residue has a little influence on the acidity of NTO. The active hydrogen iondissociation of NTO the molecular mechanism is the main factors of acid in NTO.With using the high polymer coated powder granulation method, the paper got themodelling NTO/PU, the results show that the NTO brass are caused serious corrosion to45#steel,G50; Molding powder NTO/PU after contact with the metal heat storage did not produceobvious signs of corrosion. Polymer coated NTO have the function of the acid corrosioninhibition of NTO. Silicone rubber coating method can effectively restrain the acid corrosionof metal sheet NTO.A corrosion test results of one type mixture explosive base NTO show that,under standardtest condition, the explosives based on NTO will cause serious corrosion to G50steel,45#and30CrMnSiNi2A,but no obvious corrosion to metal of Al. With thread sealing, the siliconerubber coating coated on grain has a good control effect to the NTO corrosive.
